Fires are unpredictable but not unavoidable. With proper preparation we can easily handle fire catastrophes. So make sure to install fire alarms and have a fire extinguisher ready. Make sure that ovens and cooking stoves are properly installed and there is adult supervision whenever they are used. Also, be sure to know where the exits of the house are located.
Supervise electric connections
Make sure that you’ve checked all electric wirings and outlets. Be careful in setting up appliances and make sure that they are connected to outlets with the proper voltage. Remember to close or shut down any appliance that are not being use to avoid overheating.
Have a proper storage
Carefully store away objects made of class and sharp objects. Construction materials such as nails, screws, screwdrivers, hammers, saw, and shovels should be kept in locked storerooms properly. A first aid kit should be suitably reserved in medicinal cabinets, which are easily accessed in case of emergencies.
Eliminate pests cautiously
Pests are a nuisance and can be a cause for diseases so make sure that you eliminate them but with care. Don’t use insect sprays that contains harmful toxins. Research first the products and make sure to use only those who are non-poisonous to humans and pets. Use baits or traps if possible for certain sprays can contaminate foods, even the air that you breathe.
